What is NC in a Police Station? (Non-Cognizable Report)
NC (Non-Cognizable Report) is a complaint filed at a police station for minor offences where the police cannot arrest without a court warrant. This is different from an FIR (First Information Report), which is for serious cognizable offences.

Minor disputes, trespassing, simple hurt, defamation, verbal abuse
After filing NC
Police record it. The aggrieved party can also file a private complaint before a magistrate.
